maiden mare foaling signs
mare foaling Soon, how long?
I have my mare bred girl from mid-April '08. After 11 months of its almost time! I know it could go the full 12, but I have noticed changes in his behavior and I want to know what you think. First thing I noticed is that it does not eat much, no more. She left her breakfast snacks throughout the day. Use baby very active, I could see it kicking and jumping around, but now it seems to have stopped. And finally, it is laying much more than normal, I know its because she is uncomfortable. What other signs or changes to search. Good or bad. In addition, I notice the bag is a bit bigger but its def. does not work more milk in her years she def. not more polished.
Looks like you're close! Some mares do not receive no milk until they foal, if not exactly a reliable source. The baby is not active is a good sign to come – as in the next two weeks. You can also find his rear end is a kind of "sink in" or get very soft. His belly down a little more than the baby gets into position. Good luck with your new baby! They are so fun!
