equine liability forms
Where can I get horse liability waivers?
I need an equine liability waiver so my friend can ride my horse while I am away. Can anyone tell me where I can get my hands on a waiver form for Wisconsin? I have to make sure if anything happens, that we are safe legally.
Are you covered under an equine liability insurance program? If so, contact them for a form.
You’ll either need to give her written legal consent to ride your horse, then you can’t blame her for harm to your horse.
If you’re worried about her getting hurt and suing you, you need to talk to a lawyer about writing up a liability release for you to have her sign and it’ll probably need notarized.
If you board your horse through a business, they may have pre-written forms you can use. Talk to your barn manager…
Please, email me if you still have questions..I know how tricky horse liability issues can be. =)
