If ‘black is beautiful’ why are the world’s top models almost never black? It ought not to be, but it is.(?
Our sense of justice and fairness (no pun intended) find it an unbearable fact, and we even refuse to believe it. But it’s a fact (though it’s a fact I hate). Fair skin, flowing hair, an equine nose are features seen as marks of beauty, and most in demand. And these features are also the most rare, especially when viewed on a global scale. **It is true that in places where almost everyone is ‘White’, a dark girl (or guy) is considered a gem, beautiful & desirable. But such places themselves are becoming rare. This is something we need to face up to, with honesty & also compassion.
Look at who is doing the judging. So hence, the outcome is one standard of beauty for everyone.
